Ava Graves

Ava Graves is a visual artist whose work explores the intersection of the natural world, imagination, and the uncanny. Drawing on a lifelong practice in art, she creates atmospheric paintings that transform familiar landscapes into immersive, dreamlike environments. Her work is interested in the emotional and symbolic possibilities of nature, often incorporating elements of mystery, fantasy, and heightened realism.

Graves studied at The Oxbow School, a visual arts boarding school in Napa Valley, California, where she developed a multidisciplinary foundation in studio art. She later graduated from Scripps College in Claremont, California, with a degree in Spanish, Latin American, and Caribbean Languages and Cultures.

Her current work focuses on creating richly detailed landscapes that invite viewers into imagined worlds—places that feel recognizable yet distinctly removed from everyday reality.
